With time, various weight loss programs and products are gaining popularity due to the increasing demand for losing weight. A number of slimming capsules and supplements are available in the market, which has made losing weight a very fast process. Therefore, individuals, particularly those who are willing to lose weight fast, prefer these capsules despite the fact that these slimming products are genuinely harmful for health. These weight loss products contain hidden drug ingredients that pose major health threats. The U.S Food and Drug Administration issued several notifications in order to alarm the users regarding the products that have been found to contain hidden ingredients.

Sibutramine causes major health hazards

The Food and Drug Administration is alarming customers regarding use of Dr. Mao slimming capsules, Fat Zero or Brazilian Slimming Coffee, which are products, promoted for weight loss and sold on various websites and retail stores. These products contain a harmful drug sibutramine. Sibutramine has been removed from the market in the year 2010 for safety reasons. This is because sibutramine is known to cause high blood pressure, severe heart disease leading to a major stroke. It also interacts with other medicines taken by the consumers and lead to fatal consequences. Consumers have been advised to discontinue using these products and those who have experienced any adverse effects after using these products have been advised to take professional help. Other products meant for weight loss that contain the harmful sibutramine are Slim Max, Diet Master, Super Slim, 1-Day Diet, Body Beauty 5 Days Slimming Coffee, Slim Extra Herbal Capsules, etc.

Phenolphthalein may cause cancer

Another weight loss product, which has reported serious health problems, is Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen weight loss and body reshaping product. According to a report by the FDA, Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen contains either one or both of the following undeclared ingredients: Phenolphthalein and Sibutramine. As mentioned above that sibutramine has already been removed for safety reasons. Phenolphthalein is a chemical that is not used actively in any approved drug in the U.S.A. However, even if it is used in small quantities it may cause cancer. Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen was manufactured in a Biotechnology lab in China and promoted through various websites, retail stores and health and fitness centers.

Other ingredients removed from the market by the FDA

Several other weight loss products are used and recommended by slimming and fitness center and spas that are potentially carcinogenic. For example, many supplements contain hidden pharmaceutical ingredient like Cialis, which have been removed from the market due to its potential health hazards. Citrus Fit Gold, popular as a revolutionary body fat remover, or Hot Detox that is used as fat burner also contain sibutramine. Tonic Life BP contains phenolphthalein, the laxative ingredient that, as already stated above, causes cancer. These products are advertised in such a way that the taglines themselves are enough to draw a huge number of customers. Their promises to reduce fat and weight within a short period of time are accompanied by multiple health risks, which the customers are unaware of.
